Attractive 17th – 18th C. Style Spanish or Italian Rapier Sword. Very well made long example with a robust steel hilt mounts featuring open work flower-shaped dish guard and chiseled steel decorations, one side of the cross-guard lacking. With its finely braided wired grip and elaborate fluted pommel. Mounted with a long and sturdy double-edged blade of a diamond cross-section having a deep short fuller to each side. Overall length 44 3/4". Blade length 36 1/2"
