A bronze 16oz Troy Nest of Weights. Georg Schuller, Nuremberg, Mid 17th Century. The lid with a double lizard-shaped hinge, the horse shaped swinging handle mounted in mermaid supports, the clasp modelled as s seahorse, lid stamped with 16, fleur-de-lys and maker mark, the body decorated overall with small scrolls and central band depicting a hunting scene : 6.25" x 5.5". ( 21 cm) handle up.
