Antique oil on canvas painting of Indian on horse by Alfred Jacob Miler ( 1810-1874 ).Rare antique oil on canvas depicting Indian Chief on horse by well listed artist Alfred Jacob Miller ( 1810-1874 ). Painting shows some age cracking, two repairs . Alfred Jacob Miller became the first American artist of consequence to paint the Rocky Mountains and was the only artist to chronicle figures of the legendary fur trade during its height.
