Circa 1850s-1860s English "U*S" Folding Bowie Knife by "Edward Barnes & Sons". Nice quality English folder made for export to the American market around the Civil War era, with its German silver mounts having additional silver plated finish, fine mother of pearl grips in undamaged condition and showing good spectrum of colors. Straight single edged blade of spear-point form, struck with the maker’s name on one side and having very cool U*S trade mark.Total length unfolded : 8 1/4", Blade length : 3 3/4"
