A Rare 19th C. English / American Gambler’s Bowie Knife with Set of Bone Dice inside Grip. With an ebony or blackwood grip having a screwed on pommel cup containing the original playing dice, with its German silver mounts and a large strong spear-point blade maker marked "COMBINATION Patent 8792 SHEFFIELD" and lower with a great etched or chiseled image of American Indian with a long dagger in his hand, standing over the Motto "DEFENSE". A Very good large example of these rare and well used type of English made American bowies. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 12", Blade Length : 7"
