An Unusual 19th C. English or American SASH Knife with a Clip Point Bowie Blade. A very cool early bowie of an elegant flat construction to be worn under the sash, having a broad blade strong enough to deliver a most deadly thrusting blow and retaining its very sharp edge for slashing action. In its brass mounts with red velvet scabbard and rose wood grips. A Rare type of bowie knife, most likely of American manufacture. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 15 1/2", Blade Length : 9 3/4"
