A Very Fine 19th C. English Bowie Knife Dagger, Etched "THE PATRIOTS SELF DEFENDER". A very long and very elegant fighting dagger, most likely made for the American market, having bull horn grips and German silver mounts. Blade of exceptional length and thrust-worthy quality, well etched on one side and struck "ENGLISH STEEL, A. FEIST & Co." Original scabbard in very good shape. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 15 1/4", Blade Length : 10"
