An Identified Large English Bowie Knife used in American Civil War, Engraved to "G.B. Francis". With a strong spear-point blade well marked to WEISS maker and struck "Hunters Companion" along the spine. Checkered ebony grips and a strong brass cross guard, in its silver mounted leather scabbard with owner’s name engraved to the throat. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 13", Blade Length : 7 1/2"
