A Model-1850 US Field & Staff Officer’s Sword, American Civil War used. A very nice example of German manufacture, engraved "Eisenhauer" on one side of ricasso, blade with extensive etched decorations of floral scrolls, war-trophies and Patriotic motives. In its ornate brass furniture with some nicer than usual details, like the little stars to the scabbard mounts or American shield at the pommel, traces of gold gilt finish throughout. A good attractive example with its blued steel scabbard and shark skin grip. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 39 1/4", Blade Length : 33 1/4"
