Civil War US Peterson’s militia staff officer type Sword . Circa 1840-1860 s. Mother of Pearl grip. Six pointed star motif on crossguard. Shallow diamond shaped blade with median ridge. Chain guard. Ames Cabotville maker scroll on reverse scabbard at throat. Condition: One grip slab missing. Dark patina to brass overall. Blade with good edge and point, Etching partially visible. Throat missing. Lower scabbard ring and stud on upper mount in place.
