Very Fine 19th C. Russian Caucasian KINJAL Dagger in Niello Silver Mounts. A very attractive and fine example with its silver furniture richly decorated with exquisite filigree work and Niello enamel highlights, the background with remains of its original fire gilt finish still present. Mounted with powerful broad double edged blade having a complex fullers configuration, each with etched patterns in imitation of damascus steel. A beautiful weapon of superb Caucasian quality workmanship.Dagger is 19 1/2", blade is 12 3/4".
