Lot 235:
Scarce Armor-Piercing 19th C. Russian Caucasian KINJAL Dagger. A strong but restrained in decorations example, meant for most serious and combat efficient action, equipped with a powerful broad double edged blade of diamond section, featuring a seldom encountered armor-piercing tip, elongated for the purpose of penetrating the links of the chain-mail armor, ripping the links open at thrusting allowing for the blade to penetrate further in to the body. A very vicious weapon indeed, having a strong one-piece horn grip with iron mounts.Dagger is 21 1/4", blade is 15 3/4".
