Good 19th C. Russian Caucasian Shashka Sword in Niello Silver Mounts. Mounted with an exceptionally battle-worthy large blade having two wide fullers to each side. Solid silver hilt of traditional form richly inlaid with Niello decorations and retaining some of its original gold gilt finish. In its original leather bound wood scabbard with niello silver mounts, drag is of steel for stronger and more durable service.Sword is 39 1/4", blade is 33".
