Fine Mughal Mail Armor Shirt. 17th, early 18th Century. Of high quality, tightly wrought of small iron and brass rings approximately 5mm in outside and 3mm inside diameter, in lehrian patterns throughout. falling halfway to the knees and open at the obverse, the reverse vented to facilitate riding. Retains its gilded, trefoil-form clasps. Loses to the rings. 70 cm high.Chest is 26 1/2", waist is 20".
