Museum Quality 18th-19th C. Sri-Lanka or Ceylon KASTANE Sword Dagger in Gold & Silver mounts. An outstanding Museum quality specimen, surely belonged to the individual of significant possibly even Royal status and Rank, in full silver furniture with elements of slid gold and set with multiple Ruby stones. Mounted with a lightly curved fullered blade, most likely of a European origin, lower blade with overlaid silver panels scrolled and chased with floral motives en suite to the rest of the swords Exquisite mounts. a spectacular weapon, of the quality which can only be found in the Museums or still worn by Sri-Lanka’s Most powerful and royal individuals.Sword is 26", blade is 18 1/2".
