Very Good 18th-19th C. Islamic Turkish TUFEK Rifle with Damascus Barrel. A very nice complete example with ornate brass mounts over the two-tone wood stock, the end of the stock is dressed with dyed green leather. Large strong miqulette lock is silver inlaid, bearing an engraved maker’s mark and a date. Large bore barrel is profusely decorated with silver kofgari and showing active damascus patterns, lower barrel with a struck maker’s mark. Rifle is 42 1/2" long.
