Rare 16th-17th C. German or Hungarian Battle Mace. A large and exceptionally well built example of rare configuration, having three flangs grouped together on either side, while the other two sides having one flang each, in oppose to most common pattern where all flangs distributed evenly around the head. Well wrought of strong quality steel, having a strong rod haft and wood grip bordered by iron stoppers. Extremely powerful battle weapon of impressive proportions overall.26 1/2" x 7" x 4 3/4"
