Good 19th C. Mughal Indian TULWAR ~ SHAMSHIR Sword with Damascus Blade. A strong and very battle efficient example, wearing a powerful broad blade well wrought of actively patterned layered Damascus steel, showing quite spectacular patterns throughout its length, lower blade bearing a struck maker’s mark, other few struck Starr markings to reverse. With its large steel or iron hilt of traditional Mogul style, showing extensive silver inlaid Koftgari decorations. A beautiful and very serious weapon of Indian warriors, comes with a matched period fabric over wood scabbard. Total length (without scabbard) : 34" Blade length : 29"
