Large 18th-19th C. Islamic Turkish SHAMSHIR KILIJ Sword ~ Damascus Blade. A powerful large example in its brass furniture and horn grips carved in traditional manner. Wearing a strong deeply curved blade of actively patterned multi-layered Damascus steel. A very serious large example of these deadly weapons favored by fearsome Ottoman warriors, this one is surely built for most battle-efficient use. Total length : 36" Blade length : 30"
