Antique Japanese Copper Plaque ~ Man Scared of the Frog ~ Signed on Lantern. Very cool piece depicting an older man, perhaps an old Samurai in Kimono with Inro case having large Oni Netsuke, startled by the frog. The lantern in the man’s hand bears a signature of the Artist. Some ink writing on reverse, circa 1800s. The frame size is 9" x 6 1/2" The Plaque size is 7 1/2" x 5".
