A very attractive and rare example of German manufacture, wearing a superb quality broad large fullered blade retaining most of its original fire blued and gilt panels over fabulous engraved war trophies and Patriotic motives, lower blade with maker’s initials on one side and "in Solingen" on the other, the rest of the blade retaining its original Mirrored finish. With its gilt brass hilt mounts and steel scabbard having gilt brass suspension ring mounts en suite to the hilt. A large and exceptionally impressive saber.
