A very good Revolutionary war era example, English or American manufacture, fine silver hilt hallmarked including maker’s initials "JP". Very strong and sturdy blade of triangular section, very thrust worthy and deadly in a skilled hand, engraved on both sides with elaborate floral scrollwork.
