A truly spectacular and very rare Ottoman weapon, most likely owned by an officer of the Greek army, in full silver mounts showing exceptional quality workmanship including multiple panoplies of war trophies and elaborate floral scollwork. Mounted with a broad and very battle-worthy curved large fullered blade free of decorations and truly built for most efficient combat action. A very handsome and example indeed, of rare form and quality, note how the pommel of the hilt is executed in the form more common to Yatagan short sword and Never encountered on the Shamshir style sabers.
