A beautiful and rare Islamic warrior’s saber in its steel furniture profusely damascened with Arabic scripts in gold, bone grips of characteristic early Karabela form affixed by two steel rivets. Mounted with a large broad blade of fine Wootz damascus steel, featuring a pronounced raised false edge tip are and a large gold damascened maker’s cartouche. In its later leather covered wood scabbard having heavily gold damascened mounts en suite to the hilt.
