Nice 17th-18th C. Italian or Spanish Cup-Hilt Rapier Sword. Having steel hilt mounts with a large cup-guard profusely etched on the exterior wit what appears to be Dragons, a decoration mostly typical to the early Italian weapons. With its iron wire bound grip and elaborate twisted D-guard and very long cross-guard. Mounted with a sturdy double edged blade of almost perfect Diamond cross-section. Interesting and uncommon example with not very common early type of etched decorations to the cup.
