Both are signed "Professor Carron Falco" as well as "Alcyone".Azzolin Brothers Italy- the company for whom these magnificent figures were created. Each of the figures is set within an abstract wrap around ceramic diorama. The back drops are pierced with three dimensional applied swags of streamers. The backdrops are scored incised in the scragfitto manner of Italian ceramics and pottery popular in the modernist ceramics arts movement of the 1950-1960’s. The figures are both popular Italian characters in traditional costumes of the Comedia Dell Arte.Size : 14" X 8"
