Scarce 1920s to WW II Chinese Nationalist Army Officer’s Sword with Combat Blade. A scarce example identical to the 2 sabers featured in the book, in its brass mounts which are very distinctive compare to most examples which have relief cast decorations, this one having Engraved floral work and typical extra long black snake skin grip and nut tang-cap. Mounted with a very strong combat blade of Japanese style with central reinforcement ridge and typical samurai sword style tip, showing light patina throughout.
