THANK YOU ~ ! ~~~~~~ ARGYLL AND SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS 1828 Model Scottish Officer’s Basket Hilt Broad Sword by Henry Wilkinson. Scottish Highland Regimental Officer’s basket hilted broadsword. Basket hilt decorated with traditional pierced heart pattern. Blade patterned with intricately etched decorations and regimental designations, marked on the ricasso "Henry Wilkinson Pall Mall". Spine of blade stamped with the serial number "60892". Star of Damascus marking with "KW" inside, proved on reverse side of ricasso. Etched blade is decorated with thistle patterns and reads on one side "ARGYLL AND SUTHERLAND HIGHLANDERS" and "D.D-H." near ricasso before fuller. Leather buffer pad present, fine wire wrapped shark skin handle. Complete with scabbard. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 40 3/4" Blade Length : 32 1/2".
