Unusual 18th C. French or Hungarian CUTTOE Hunting Sword ~ American Revolution era ~ Massive Blade with Raised False Edge. A beefy and very well built example of a European Hunting sword, possibly of English, French or Hungarian manufacture, wearing a massive broad blade with a pronounced raised false edge tip. In its gold gilt brass mounts with leather scabbard and large bull horn grip bound by thick twisted copper wire. A very unusual and combat-worthy piece of the type very popular among both English and American officers of the Revolutionary war era.
