Large Confederate Fighting Dagger ~ Bowie Knife ~ American Civil War era. A well built example with a lovely natural wood grip and strong brass mounts, wearing a powerful large double edged blade of oval section, hand forged by a local blacksmith to give it to one of the youngsters joining the Confederate Arm, his son perhaps, as the knife is crafted with much love and a very skillful touch. This strong fighting dagger is surely built for most efficient and serious combat action. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 20 1/2", Blade Length : 14 3/4"
