THANK YOU ~ ! ~~~~~~ German Bavarian late 18th- early 19th C. Officer’s Sword ~ King Maximilian era. Scarce saber dating from around early Napoleonic era, reign of the Bavarian King Maximilian. In its brass furniture with checkered ebony grip, long lightly curved large-fullered blade etched with King’s cipher to each side, war trophies and floral scrolls, lower blade with a struck maker’s mark. In its blued steel scabbard having brass mounts en suite to the hilt.
