Rare American Revolution to War of 1812 Silver Mounted Officer’s Sword with Hallmarked mounts. Mounted with a straight large fullered blade featuring fine gold gilt etched decorations of American Eagle with 11 stars and "E Pluribus Unum" motto, other Patriotic, military and floral motives. Hilt with solid silver furniture having 4 struck hallmarks to the lower guard, carved and fluted bone grip topped with a very unique and distinctive silver pommel. A rare sword carried by an early Federal officer of American army. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 35 1/4", Blade Length : 30"
