Interesting 19th C. English or American Dragoon Sword Engraved Blade & ID’ed Scabbard. A fascinating example with a long military life, apparently in service from the 19th century all the way through WW I having a later engraved inscription on the blade "World War I 1919" and engraved in the same style its owner’s name on the steel scabbard. With its brass hilt mounts, leather covered wood grip and a powerful large fullered blade in its mirrored finish, a strong battle sword for a Dragoon trooper…Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 42", Blade Length : 35 1/2".Detailed condition reports are not included in this catalog.
