Fine American Revolution era French CUTTOE Hunting Sword. A lovely example with elaborate gilt brass mounts and very fine fluted dyed grip of noble material, adorned with a twist copper wire. wearing an elegant lightly curved blade with a wide fuller and French writings to each side. Good example of the swords favored by both sides during the American War for Independence. Total Length (inside scabbard if present) : 27" Blade Length : 21 3/4".
