Rare American Revolution Hanger Sword ~ Probably Infantry or Naval Cutlass. A seldom encountered early example, in its brass furniture featuring a distinctive large clam-shell guard, leather and copper wire bound grip. Mounted with a lightly curved large-fullered blade showing traces f engraved decorations. In its original brass mounted leather scabbard, drag lacking.
