Scarce American Civil War era Marine Officer’s Sword by Horstmann & Sons Philadelphia. with its solid brass hilt having stylized eagle-head pommel. Wearing a lightly curved large-fullered blade, most likely a German import, profusely etched with military, floral and patriotic motives, ricasso with a retailer’s logo.
