Civil war era Model 1809 Prussian Neisse musket, possibly Confederate used. Dated 1826, with typical proof marks FW for Frederick William III of Prussia, who reigned 1797 to 1840. These muskets were extensively used in Prussian conflicts during the 1840s and 50s, including the Egyptian-Ottoman War, the Greater Poland Uprising, the Revolutions of 1848, the First Schleswig War and US Civil War.
