Rare 16th-17th C. Italian FALCHION Short Sword. Very good early example with its massive broad lightly curved blade featuring two narrow fullers to each side and a very exiting raised false edge tip, one side bearing a struck maker’s mark. With its leather bound grip and steel hilt mounts depicting a carved image of a warrior to the clam-shell, other engraved decoration. Massive sword of very desirable and rare form.
