Up for the auction is a very fine rare antique ex – Christie’s ( April 1997 ) and Skinner auctions Kris Keris dagger /sword with meteorite blade from Martin Voigt, German Postmaster of New Guinea c.1902 collection. Sword was collected in the field by Martin Voigt who traveled and collected extensively throughout New Guinea and the surrounding islands during his tenure as German Postmaster General from 1902-1905.Sword is 17", blade is 12,75".Original Christie’s and Skinner labels. Scabbard has age crack.
