Security safe deposit bank listed in ‘The Penny Bank Book’ as possibly made by Kyser & Rex. The bank is marked on the bottom with patents from Feburary 1881 and March 1897. The bank has a double combination dial. Not worked out the code but that could be done with a bit of effort. Each side and the top are divided into 4 panes decorated with plants. The original black paint has some wear. There is a little gold paint left on the plants on the side. This desirable bank is 4 1/4 inches tall and 3 inches square. This is very decorative and attractive bank. A great addition to any collection.
