‘Man in Cabin’ cast-iron mechanical bank, c. 1885, unsigned but similar to J.E. Stevens models designed by F. H. Griffith, man standing in doorway of dilapidated shack, when coin is placed at man’s feet and broom form lever on side is released, man in red pants flips upside down and flings coin into slot in corrugated roof, griddle, banjo, and animal pelt hung on sides of building, patent date 25 June 1885 stamped underside base, 3 5/8" h.
