BANDAI Japan tin toy early FIAT 600 Folding Sunroof friction powered toy car in excellent original condition. 7" long. c. 1957. Marked "Sign of Quality, Made in Japan" with Bandai logo on bottom of toy. This FIAT Micro car tin toy is featured in the very rare darker burgundy (not red) body color with multi-colored green and yellow detailed interior, black fully retractable (spring loaded) convertible top, and white plastic steering wheel. U.S. spec bumpers, windshield surround, headlights, miniature front hood emblem, front turn signals, front nose air intakes grilles, and all hubcaps with the Fiat logo on two tone wheels with rubber tires, are all featured in nice original chrome plated finish. Original finish on wheels ( one hubcap is missing) , otherwise car is in excellent condition. A wonderful example of Japanese toy making of the era . Clear acetate windshield and rear window are entirely original and without flaw as well. Rear wheel drive friction motor runs smooth and strong.
