Very Impressive Japanese Samurai KATANA Sword with 30" Blade (Nagasa) Signed NANKI JU FUJIWARA KUNE MITSU of Musashi Province ~ Circa 1860 ~ Huge KISSAKI ~ Made for Cutting through Armor. An exceptionally impressive Samurai weapon with Whooping 30" blade having very big Kissaki (tip) The blade is flawless but in need of a polish. The province is Musashi, a very famous sword making province. Blades from this province are very desirable. This blade was made for cutting through armor. Blades of this period were made like Nanbokucho, Big and Beefy, when the Japanese saw Commodore Perry’s officers, they believed they were wearing heavy armor, so they made larger swords called BAKUMATSU. Very nice Saya and Matching Gold inlaid Chiseled Iron Dragon mounts, very long copper Dragon menukies. Extremely impressive and rare Samurai weapon.
