Published by Iskusstvo, Moscow – Leningrad, 1941. 83.5 x 59 cm. 32 3/4 x 23 1/2 in.This popular poster, reproduced several times in postcard format after the war, encourages Soviet youth to pursue a military aviator career. It likely dates to the first, peaceful, half of the year 1941, and predates the German invasion. Notably, the young aviator’s uniform is of an old style, abolished in February 1941. A student of Dmitry Moor, Viktor Govorkov in turn became a successful political posterist.
