In a family of peasants, according to the official Soviet biography. It is not easy to believe this, looking at his aristocratic self-portrait of 1935. However, whoever his parents were, only worker-peasant children had a chance in the Land of Soviets.Posters by an artist from Samara are classics of Soviet art of the 20th century. His best works are kept in the Tretyakov Gallery. Golovanov’s pencil will forever remain sharp, sharper than any bayonet.
