Published by Iskusstvo, Moscow-Leningrad, 1945. 84 x 56.5 cm. Production of panegyrics was not Koretsky�s strongest suite, but realizing the critical nature of the task at hand, he makes a valiant effort. In the artist�s design, Stalin�s photograph occupies the place in a peasant house that under the old regime was occupied by an icon – and it is treated with the same mix of awe, faith, and love.
