Red Army Commissioner – Father and Soul Its own Unit. Author P. T. Malzev (1907�1993). Isskusto – Moscow, Leningrad , 1941. WWII Agitation Poster. In very traditional Agitation Malzev style with lot of Red coloring.Malzev – Born in Mariupol. In 1921-1924 he studied at the Zaporizhzhya Art and Professional School under V. N. Nevsky. After graduation, he was sent to Moscow to Vkhutemas (Vkhutein), where he studied from 1924 to 1930 at the monumental department of the painting faculty with V. A. Favorsky, P. V. Kuznetsov, L. A. Bruni and N. M. Chernyshev. In 1932 he joined the Union of Artists of the USSR.During the Great Patriotic War he served as an artist of the Northern Fleet’s cultural enlightenment work. He made a large number of posters dedicated to the heroic struggle of Soviet soldiers, sailors, marines, naval aviation pilots: "Destroy the Nazis on land and sea", "Let’s bring down the whole force of mighty military equipment against the arrogant enemy!", "The heroic feat of the cabin boy" and other.
