French Flintlock Tinder Lighter by Paret. This lighter measures about 6 1/2" overall and features an external lock and left-side compartment. The metal surfaces have mostly toned to pewter gunmetal patina showing some scattered old pinprick and freckling. There are a few light foliate embellishments and the compartment door is clearly marked "M. PARET". The walnut stock features a few small simple antique bone inlays and remains in very good condition showing a couple old smoothed-over chips and scattered dings~~~.
