Rare 18th C. Hungarian or French Silver & Agate Hilted CUTTOE Hunting Sword ~ VIVAT PANDOUR ~ American Revolution used. Fine early example with a wonderful one-piece Agate stone grip and silver mounts. Blade of characteristic form with extended false-edge area, both sides with engraved decorations including armed soldiers and "Vivat Pandour" mottos. This type of European Cuttoes were freakventely used by American officers during the American Revolutionary War era. Total length (inside scabbard if present) : 19 1/4", Blade length : 15 1/4".
