Rare WW II Japanese MANTETSU Sword for Army Officer, Triple-Signed & Dated Tang by KOA ISSHIN MANTETSU, Including Mune Markings. Part of Vet Bringback Grouping by Captain W. L. James, British Royal Engineers from Burma. This grouping includes a Mantetsu signed Japanese Army Officer sword, Captain James’ Chindit slouch hat, GTSP pocket watch, his Royal Engineers pocket book, a whip, a portrait of Captain James, and various Wartime pamphlets. Signed ‘KOA ISSHIN MANTETSU’. The sword is dated, and has unusual numbering system on the Mune.
